Tuition-free education for West Virginia students by Concord University

The CU Free Program at Concord University is an opportunity for students in West Virginia to attend college tuition-free, a major relief as higher education continues to rise in price. Five years ago, this innovative financial aid program launched for eligible students, allowing them to earn a four-year degree tuition-free.

The program can be renewed up to four years for first-time students and eight semesters for transfer students, with regard to credits transferred. This is open for incoming freshmen, currently enrolled students, and transfer students.

To be eligible, students meet several criteria like Pell Grant eligibility and a West Virginia resident for the WV Higher Education Grant, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (for incoming freshmen) or 2.75 (for transfer students), file the FAFSA by April 15, and enroll full-time at Concord.

Once admitted to the program, students are required to meet these conditions throughout their participation, including continuous full-time enrollment, maintaining eligibility for the Pell Grant and WV Higher Education Grant, and earning a minimum of 24 credit hours per year.

The CU Free Program is that financial aid whereby it functions funds the balance owing after other grant, loan and work-study aid is put in place-this program doesn't pay for parking or additional courses made it possible to pursue education debt-free and achieved the dreams most students would hold.
