IIT Delhi Introduces Executive Program in Robotics for Professionals

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has introduced the Executive Programme in Robotics to equip professionals with the requisite skills and knowledge essential for success in the dynamic field of robotics.

The programme is meticulously crafted to cater to the evolving demands of automation by leveraging cutting-edge technologies, as highlighted by IIT Delhi. Spanning over five months, the programme comprises 120 hours of online learning, encompassing the fundamental aspects of robotics, including mechanical components, sensors, and artificial intelligence.

Delivered via the state-of-the-art Interactive Learning (IL) platform in Direct-to-Device (D2D) mode, the programme ensures an immersive and engaging learning experience for participants. Moreover, learners will gain insights into the practical applications of robotics across diverse sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, and beyond.

The robotics market is witnessing robust growth, with a projected size of $95.93 billion by 2029, fueled by a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15.91 percent during the forecast period (2024-2029). This growth trajectory underscores the increasing adoption of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) across industries, as highlighted by Forbes.

In various sectors such as manufacturing, medicine, and hospitality, the integration of AI and robotics is revolutionizing operations. Innovations in this domain have led to the development of robots capable of undertaking hazardous tasks, thereby mitigating risks associated with human involvement. Additionally, the use of robotics has bolstered efficiency and reduced errors, fostering a synergistic relationship between humans and robots, as revealed by a LinkedIn report.

Professor Arnab Chanda of IIT Delhi emphasized the transformative impact of robotics and AI across industries worldwide. He underscored the significance of IIT Delhi's Executive Programme in Robotics, offering professionals, engineers, and entrepreneurs a comprehensive understanding of the latest advancements in robot design, control systems, and artificial intelligence.
