The planning, creation, and promotion of technical education throughout India have been skillfully led by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It has made a number of proactive moves over the years to advance engineering education, maintain standards, and keep programmes contemporary and beneficial. Although much has been accomplished, a review of engineering education in India has become necessary in light of the constantly evolving requirements of the industry, society, and global stakeholder community made possible by technological disruption, transnationalism, and ever-changing student preferences.
