Manipal Institute to be Part of "˜100 5G Labs Initiative'

One of the recipients of the '100 5G labs initiative' is Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), which is a part of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), as chosen by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

The collaboration between DoT and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) has led to the development of this programme.

MIT-Manipal is pleased to announce the establishment of a state-of-the-art 5G lab. This lab is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including 5G standalone infrastructures, 5G SIMs, dongles, IoT gateway, router, and an application server. We believe that this lab will play a crucial role in enhancing our contribution to the nation's 5G readiness. Through this lab, MIT-Manipal aims to empower researchers and students to explore and innovate in the exciting field of 5G technology.

According to the statement, MIT-Manipal will retain ownership of the lab assets, both during and after the project's completion. This move signifies a significant advancement in India's adoption of 5G technology, opening up limitless opportunities for innovation and progress in multiple industries.

According to Commander Anil Rana, the Director of MIT-Manipal, the Department of Telecommunications has chosen them for the '100 5G labs initiative'. He expressed immense pride in this selection.
