IIT Madras Teams up With Startups for Technology Initiatives

IITM Pravartak Technologies is a Section 8 company that houses the Sensors, Networking, Actuators, and Control Systems Technology Innovation Hub. It is financed by the Government of India's Department of Science and Technology as part of its National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems and hosted by IIT Madras.

Dr. MJ Shankar Raman, CEO of IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation, stated of the collaboration, "We will work with these start-ups on niche areas like Drone pilot training, Data analytics, AI/ML, and Generative AI." Our clients seek our advice on their complicated and sensitive unstructured data. For such needs, we rely on businesses like DataSwitch, according to indiatoday.

"One of our partners, Neekan Consulting, is a Technology, Process, and Marketing consulting company enabling SMBs and start-ups in all industry domains," Dr. MJ Shankar Raman remarked. They collaborate with us on product and program management, as well as training and preparing new employees for employment. SkillAngels (located in the IITM Research Park) employs gamification, animation, and adaptive learning methodologies for cognitive evaluations and upskilling."

2. Creating point solutions for interesting problems in AI, ML, and data science.

Furthermore, Balamurali Shankar, General Manager of IITM Pravartak's Digital Skills Academy, stated, "These start-ups have a combination of academic and industry expertise, thereby providing a good learning experience to the students." Crion Versity, one of our partners, was created by IIT Madras alumni and has extensive expertise running a digital twin business, Crion Technologies, at IITM Research Park. Their signature career experience programs offer exciting short-form instruction on practical skills in areas such as Data Analytics."
