IIT Kanpur Launched Masters Degree in Renewable Energy and E-mobility

Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has launched an innovative eMasters degree program in Renewable Energy and e-Mobility. Designed by experts in the Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, the program aims to cultivate a skilled and professional workforce dedicated to environmental responsibility.

Unlike traditional masters and programs, this executive-friendly e-master's program does not require a GATE score for admission. This allows professionals to continue their career without interruption and offers the flexibility to complete the program in 1-3 years.

The renewable energy program and e-mobility program e-Masters is strategically aligned with the phase-out of fossil fuels. Its main goals are to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and address climate change issues. This program creates a platform for a transformative journey towards innovative and environmentally friendly solutions, as per indiatoday.

Participants in this program will be exposed to various technological aspects of the transition, which include renewable energy production from sources such as solar, wind, batteries, hydrogen and the rapidly growing electric vehicle sector. The convergence of renewable energy and electric mobility promotes innovation, reduces dependence on non-renewable natural resources and promotes a greener and more sustainable world, meeting both environmental and economic needs.

This industry-related program offers immersive learning with real-time, interactive weekend classes and self-directed learning. It is run by eminent faculties and experienced researchers of IIT Kanpur. The program and 60-credit industry-tailored curriculum allows seamless transfer of credits to higher education opportunities such as IIT Kanpur's MT and PhD programs and allows up to 60 credits to be waived. Participants also get exclusive access to IIT Kanpur and incubator cell and an extensive alumni network, enriching their career and networking opportunities.
