CAT 2025 Exam Details: Date, Registration, Eligibility Requirements
The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 is to be held on November 30, 2025, with the official notification to be out by July 30, 2025. IIM Kozhikode will be conducting the examination this year.
Candidates who wish to pursue their MBA in 2026 need to appear for the CAT 2025 examination, as it is accepted by 21 IIMs, some of the top B-schools, and more than 1,300 MBA colleges in India.
The registration for CAT 2025 will be initiated in the first week of August 2025 and will conclude by the third week of September 2025. Graduates or students who are in the final year of their bachelor's degree are eligible to apply.
CAT is a computer-based test designed to assess candidates on five key areas: Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability, and Reading Comprehension. The exam will consist of 68 questions, with duration of. Given the high competition, with over 3 lakh applicants each year, aspirants are advised to dedicate 6-9 months for thorough preparation.
The minimum eligibility criteria for CAT 2025 are as follows:
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university. Minimum marks required in 50 percent (45 percent for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
- Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree courses or awaiting results can also appear in the CAT exam.
- Candidates having professional degrees such as CA/CS/CMA are also eligible for CAT.
The CAT 2025 exam date and full schedule will be announced by July 30, 2025.

- Click on ‘New Registration’
- Enter personal details to create a login
- Fill out the application form with the required information
- Upload scanned photo and signature
- Choose test cities, courses, and IIM campuses
- Pay the CAT application fee and submit the form
The fee for applying for CAT 2025 is INR 2500 for general categories and INR 1250 for reserved categories. The fee is non-refundable, and therefore candidates are required to carefully verify all information in the application form before submitting.
