Joint PhD Programme by IIT Delhi & Queensland University Opens for July
The University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) have collaboratively declared the commencement of the admission process for their joint PhD program for the July 2025 intake.
The collaborative PhD program is scheduled to start in July 2025, with applications due by March 18. Previously, both educational institutions initiated the combined admission process for the January 2025 intake.
Applications are now accepting candidates from various fields, including science, technology, engineering, mathematics, humanities, and social sciences. PhD students will dedicate one year to UQ’s Brisbane campus and three years to IIT Delhi, acquiring international research experience, the press release stated.
All PhD applicants from UQ–IITD will receive a scholarship for the entire duration of their candidature, lasting up to a maximum of 4 years (assuming a full-time study load). The UQ-IITD Research Academy has partnered with its industry collaborator, The Weir Group, to promote research in slurry transport via a new PhD project.
