University of Leeds offers new scholarship for Indian students

The University of Leeds has announced a new scholarship for Indian students — the International Excellence Scholarship for 2025. This award provides financial support to exceptional international students studying for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. A prize based on merit, the International Excellence Scholarship aims to honor and recognize outstanding academic success.

The candidates must possess an excellent academic background, demonstrate leadership abilities, and show commitment to fostering the varied community at the University of Leeds.

To be eligible for the Masters International Excellence Scholarship, an applicant must be an international student:

— The candidate has applied to a master’s program that qualifies for admission in the 2025–2026 academic year.

— A candidate does not need to have received an offer to study before applying for the scholarship.

— A student may be either self-funded or partly funded.

— Candidates should show a strong academic background and be anticipated to obtain or have received a bachelor's degree with no less than a 2:1 (hons) or equivalent, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and professional skills through extracurricular involvement and/or work experience.

The students will be notified of the outcome of the scholarship application by June 13, 2025. If candidates are selected for the scholarship, they will need to accept the award within the timeframe stated in their scholarship letter.

Once the candidates have applied for the master’s course, they will need to complete the scholarship application form online. For more details on the eligibility criteria, application processes, and deadlines, please visit the scholarship web pages.
