University of Canterbury Announces Renewal of Its MBA Leaders Scholarship

The University of Canterbury (UC) has declared the renewal of its MBA Leaders Scholarship for an additional four years, extending it until 2030. The scholarship grants access to international opportunities, giving scholars international insights into leadership and innovation.

Scholars will have the opportunity to collaborate with organizations like Stanford University in the U.S. and Aalto University in Finland. This encompasses chances to engage in studies such as Stanford's renowned Design Thinking course, promoting global connections, knowledge sharing, and leadership abilities.

The scholarship provides a significant amount of the UC MBA program fees along with an international experience grant for global learning experiences. Also, it provides personalized mentoring with a prominent business leader in New Zealand, along with an experiential Outward Bound Courage in Leadership program.

Established in 2021, the Gough Family Foundation MBA Leaders Scholarship has aided individuals. Annually, three scholarships are awarded to outstanding individuals studying in UC's MBA program at Te Kura Umanga within UC Business School.

Ben Gough, founder of the Gough Family Foundation stated, “Playing to the strengths and relationships of both UC and the Gough Family Foundation has enabled scholars to learn at some of the most prestigious universities in the world, and gain access to some of the best business minds in New Zealand,” Gough said. “The outcomes of this opportunity provide a positive impact to all areas of their lives, personally, professionally, and to their communities through giving back, which is a key area we look for in applicants.”
