Univ of Auckland announces Rs 16.6 lakh scholarship for Indian students
The University of Auckland has introduced the India High Achievers Scholarship, which is designed to assist outstanding Indian students by covering up to $20,000 (approximately Rs 16.6 lakh) in tuition costs. The scholarship for the 2025 intake is currently available, providing full-time study opportunities at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
In order to be eligible, candidates must be Indian international students. This does not apply to individuals who are citizens, permanent residents, or holders of resident visas in New Zealand and Australia. Students who have received either a conditional or unconditional offer for undergraduate or postgraduate programs are considered eligible. Students enrolled in the university's English Language Academy (ELA) or Summer Start International program are also qualified. Nevertheless, students who have previously attended school in New Zealand or are in certain business master's programs are not qualified for this scholarship. In addition, candidates need to maintain a minimum Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of 6.00 and be enrolled in a full-time capacity in their programs.
The deadlines to apply for Semester One and Semester Two are October 24, 2024, and April 1, 2025, respectively. The university's committee will select successful candidates and inform them eight weeks after the closing dates. Students must make sure that they finish their online applications on time, making sure all necessary sections, references, and endorsements are included.
