Union Ministry of Education Approves global academic programme for MDU
The Ministry of Education has approved a Global Initiative on Academic Network (GIAN) program submitted by Prof Ramphul Ohlan at the Institute of Management Studies and Research (IMSAR) in Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak.
“A grant of Rs 6,64,000 has been sanctioned for the programme. Under this, a five-day workshop will be organised on "Managerial Efficiency and Productivity Measurement: Theory and Practice", at MDU by foreign faculty — Prof Subal Kumbhakar from Department of Economics, State University of New York,” said Ohlan.
He stated that the attendees would be taught how to enhance the effectiveness and output of corporate entities. He mentioned that it would enhance the business analytics capabilities of IMSAR students.
“Prof BS Murty, Director, IIT-Hyderabad, will act as the national coordinator, while Prof Arup Mitra from South Asian University, New Delhi, will be a national faculty expert for this course,” Ohlan added.
Maharshi Dayanand University, located in Rohtak, Haryana, is a public university in India. Founded in 1976, the university is dedicated to the renowned Indian social reformer Dayananda Saraswati. Rohtak University was founded in 1976 under Act No. 25 of 1975 by the Haryana Legislative Assembly with the aim of advancing interdisciplinary higher education and research in environmental, ecological, and life sciences.
