Strathclyde Announces Engineering Scholarships for Sept 2025 Intake
The University of Strathclyde has announced scholarships for its Engineering course, Glasgow 850 International Masters Scholarships and Dean's International Exceptionalness Awards for September 2025. These scholarships mark the 850th anniversary of Glasgow and support international (excluding EU) postgraduate students pursuing engineering courses. The deadline for application submission is September 12, 2025.
The Glasgow 850 International Masters Scholarship provides a £5,000 discount on tuition fees to self-funded international students who enroll in full-time on-campus engineering courses. The eligible fields include architecture, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, renewable energy, naval architecture, and others.
These scholarships are non-transferable, cannot be deferred, and cannot be combined with full funding from embassies or government offices. Proposed applicants must have a confirmed offer to study at the university.
The Faculty of Education also awards Dean's International Exceptionalness Awards, with varying amounts from £7,000 to £10,000, to help outstanding postgraduate applicants. For this award, no extra application is needed; all eligible candidates are considered automatically. Candidates awarded will be informed by July 31, 2025.
Award selection is based on academic excellence (normally a UK first-class degree or equivalent) and potential contribution to the Strathclyde community and profession.
It is emphasized that the decisions of the Dean University of Strathclyde-merit Program are final and Excellence Awards to be offered by the Faculty of Engineering make Strathclyde attractive for international students looking for further engineering studies.
