Srinagar Schools Change Schedules to Accommodate Longer Daylight
Schools across Srinagar are gearing up for a significant schedule alteration set to commence on May 6th, 2024. The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has announced revised timings in response to the onset of warmer weather conditions and longer daylight hours. Previously, classes in both government and privately recognized schools within the municipal limits commenced at 9:00 am and concluded at 3:00 pm.
However, under the new directives, schools will initiate their daily sessions at 8:30 am and adjourn by 2:30 pm. This adjustment aims to allow students to capitalize on the cooler morning temperatures and better synchronize with the extended daylight period.
The decision arrives as Srinagar witnesses a steady increase in temperatures, with daily highs surpassing 23 degrees Celsius. By implementing this alteration, education authorities seek to foster a more conducive learning environment for both students and staff members alike, alleviating discomfort caused by the escalating heat.
This proactive measure underscores the Directorate of School Education Kashmir's commitment to prioritizing the well-being and comfort of students and educators, ensuring an optimal educational experience despite external climatic challenges. As the new schedule takes effect, it is anticipated to contribute positively to the overall learning atmosphere across Srinagar's educational landscape.
