SLU Includes CBSE, CISCE in Credit Program for Indian Students
Saint Louis University (SLU) has incorporated CBSE and CISCE Examinations within its Credit by Exam program. This will also allow Indian students the chance to earn credits before entering their undergraduate studies at SLU.
While allowing the students to progress to the next level of their undergraduate studies, the Credit by Exam scheme grants them recognition of their performance in an appeal process involving a semester of tuition and time.
These have several major examinations such as Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) in the mainstream. The fact that CBSE and CISCE exams are being treated this way is an indicator of their rigor, thus, allowing for an easier transition of Indian students into American higher education.
The press release further stated that this could save them a fortune in tuition, along with an early graduation, thus pushing for affordable education.
