Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Five New Hyderabad University Infrastructures

According to the official release, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay the foundation stone for several developmental projects, including higher education, worth Rs 13,500 crore in the state of Telangana on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Modi will visit the Mahabubnagar district to lay the groundwork for critical sectors such as transport, rail, petroleum and natural gas, and higher education. According to the press release, the Prime Minister will also launch a train service through video conferencing during the ceremony.

Apart from these projects, a four-laning of 59 km long Suryapet to Khammam section of NH-365BB.  Built at a cost of about Rs. 2,460 crore, the project is a part of Hyderabad Visakhapatnam Corridor and is developed under Bharatmala Pariyojana. It claimed to provide better connectivity to Khammam district and coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh and there other projects will also be inaugurated during the PM’s visit,  it added.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate five new University of Hyderabad buildings: the School of Economics, the School of Mathematics and Statistics, the School of Management Studies, the Lecture Hall Complex III, and the Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication (Annexe). According to the statement, the upgrade of infrastructure at the University of Hyderabad is a step towards providing better facilities and services to students and teachers.
