NEP 2020 to be Executed in "Demo Schools" to Demonstrate Implementation
According to a government press release, the state government has decided to launch a project to develop ten schools as 'Demo Schools', which will be used to 'demonstrate' the implementation of the new education policy (NEP-2020) in the state to delegates and visitors from other states and abroad.
These schools, the majority of which will be in key areas of the state capital and some in neighbouring Barabanki, will also showcase to visitors the facilities provided by the government to primary schools.
During a recent review meeting with education department officials, chief minister Yogi Adityanath issued instructions to identify schools for the project. This project is part of the Chief Minister's Model Composite Schools, which will be equipped with cutting-edge technology in 57 districts across Uttar Pradesh.
According to the proposal, these schools will be chosen after a 'gap analysis'. The Prerna portal's assistance will also be sought.
According to Vijay Kiran Anand, the director general of school education, "Visitors to Lucknow will have the opportunity to observe the implementation of the National Education Policy-2020, as well as concepts such as excellent learning and learning by doing."
