NEET PG 2024 to be held in August
The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is likely to conduct NEET PG in August, according to sources who spoke to The Indian Express. Although the exact date has not yet been announced, Dr. Abhijat Sheth, President of NBE, mentioned that the new date will be disclosed "hopefully before next weekend."
Dr. Sheth explained that a plan has been submitted to the Ministry of Education (MoE) for approval, and the exam date will be communicated to students accordingly. He also mentioned that they aim to complete the process within two months.
The NBE had postponed the NEET PG exam on June 22, just hours before it was supposed to take place. Dr. Sheth clarified to The Indian Express that there were no reports of a paper leak or any similar issues. The exam was canceled because the Ministry wanted to ensure the robustness of the exam process and eliminate any vulnerabilities.
Dr. Sheth emphasized that a leak in the NEET PG exam is highly unlikely since it is conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format. The question paper is generated online shortly before the exam, minimizing the chances of a leak. However, he warned that some individuals exploit students by falsely promising to help them pass the exam for a fee, taking advantage of their stress and vulnerability. These scammers often take partial payment in advance and either disappear or claim credit if the student passes.
