The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has awarded Lucknow University (LU) accreditation with a grade of A++. On July 21, an NAAC team conducted a field assessment at the Lucknow University campus, and the evaluation was completed on July 23. After a 3-day evaluation, NAAC first awarded the University an A++ rating. The university's NAAC grade has significantly improved from last time, when it barely obtained a B+.

As per the information, Lucknow university is working on every parameter assessed by NAAC for 2.5 years and necessary improvements were done in the college. As a result, the NAAC grade of the university spiked and created a history. LU got a B grade in NAAC evaluation in 2020.

NAAC grading team evaluated every section of the university that is the Administrative block, library, hostels and other sections. LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava said the NAAC team suggested that a reading room should be constructed in University's Cooperative Lending Library.

According to reports, the NAAC team also evaluated Lucknow's National PG college, and the college's grade dropped this time. National PG college has received B++ accreditation.
