JoSAA 2025 Counseling to Start After JEE Advanced Result is Announced

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) to conduct the JoSAA counseling for admission in IITs, NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs. Admission into IITs will be made on the basis of ranks obtained in JEE Advanced 2025 and allotments will be given for NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs based on JEE Main 2025 ranks. The registration process will begin a day after the announcement of JEE Advanced 2025 result. JoSAA 2025 application form and choice filling will be done online through the official website.

The counseling will be conducted in five major rounds. Each round will consist of these procedures: seat allotment, candidate confirmation of seats, online reporting at the allotted institute, and fee payment. After all the rounds, the remaining vacant seats will be distributed through the CSAB counseling 2025. The entire schedule and JoSAA 2025 counseling round-wise dates will be uploaded on the official website. All of the candidates who will have qualified the JEE Advanced 2025 examination and possess JEE Main ranks are required to register for the JoSAA counseling for admission to preferred UG programmes of engineering provided by IITs, NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs.

Academic programs and the category-wise intake capacity referred to as the JoSAA seat matrix will be released on the online portal of JoSAA 2025. During the last session, the combined intake of all such institutes was 59,937.  The documents required for JoSAA 2025 are:

  1. JEE Main/Advanced Admit Card and Scorecard
  2. Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheets
  3. Passport-sized Photographs
  4. Category Certificate (if applicable)
  5. PwD/DS Certificates (if applicable)
  6. Valid Photo ID
  7. Seat Acceptance Payment Receipt

The eligibility criteria for JoSAA 2025 are as follows:

  1. IIT Admissions: Candidates must qualify JEE Advanced 2025
  2. NIT+ System Admissions: Candidates must qualify JEE Main 2025
  3. Academic Requirement: Class 12 pass with minimum 75% (or top 20 percentile) for IITs, 60% for other institutes (relaxation for reserved categories)
