IIT Palakkad Launches Residential Summer Internship for Research Students

IIT Palakkad has announced a six-week residential summer internship. The program is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students for research experiences. The summer internship program is scheduled for May, where selected students will engage in working with both hardware and software analysis tools, following general exposure to various research domains. These internships are open to Indian and foreign nationals who meet the eligibility criteria. The students from IIT Palakkad are not eligible, but foreign nationals studying in Indian institutions are considered at par with Indian nationals.

Applications for the summer internship will be closed on March 18. The program is scheduled to take place between May 21 and July 2025. Students eligible for the program include postgraduate students. This includes 4th and 5th-year integrated master's programs in streams like science, engineering, and humanities. Students who are in their 3rd and 4th years of undergraduate courses in streams like engineering, technology, and science are also eligible for this program.

Online Application form-Interested candidates shall log on to the IIT Palakkad Official Website with any valid email to apply on. Through system-generated an e-mail of subsequent process with a link to upload and fill it further will send them. Selection based on academic, aptitude and area of current ongoing research.

Selected candidates are eligible for stipend support of Rs. 8,000 per month amounting to Rs. 12,000. All students staying on campus accommodation is shared and would have to pay for hostel room charges and mess amount. The Internship certificate at the end will be given, on successful completion of the entire program.
