IIM Lucknow and IIT Kanpur to Launch PGP in Healthcare Management
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has recently formalized a partnership to jointly launch a postgraduate program in Healthcare Management. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Professor Archana Shukla, Director of IIM Lucknow, and Professor Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur.
During the signing ceremony, Prof. Shukla expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting that the program aims to merge management and technology to tackle the complex challenges within the healthcare sector. She emphasized that the joint program is designed to foster innovative solutions with the potential to enhance healthcare management both in India and internationally significantly.
The Postgraduate Programme (PGP) in Healthcare Management is intended for professionals from various fields, including healthcare workers and doctors operating in public hospitals. Prof. Agrawal remarked that this initiative is an essential part of the Gangwal School of Medical Sciences and Technology, which seeks to incorporate medical technology and innovation into its curriculum. He underscored that by leveraging the strengths of both institutions, the program is poised to equip graduates with the skills necessary to address pressing healthcare challenges with a comprehensive and forward-thinking approach.
