IIM Kozhikode, TimesPro to introduce certificate programme in management social initiatives

A certificate programme in management social initiatives was launched by a partnership between TimesPro, an edtech platform, and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode. This programme seeks to arm the participants with knowledge and abilities that will improve their capacity for creating and overseeing social initiatives.

This 11-month certificate programme is designed to help the students gain a conceptual understanding across the three domain of social initiatives including- corporate social responsibility, not-for-profit ventures, and social entrepreneurship.

The participants in the programme will learn to manage social initiatives, engage with stakeholders, create impact measurement processes along with identifying funding sources and engaging in value creation. The certificate programme will also feature a capstone project where the students will be creating a social business concept and plan for an enterprise or non-government organisation (NGO).

The course will be conducted through TimesPro's interactive learning (IL) platform and will delivered through direst-to-device (D2D) mode. The IL follows a proven pedagogy of tools and techniques that include lectures, real-life case studies, assignments, and quizzes.

The programme is divided into two modules. The foundation module consists of areas including managing social initiatives, pathways to social initiatives, understanding social issues and being an impact champion. The advanced module consists of creating social enterprises, public private partnership, context of social initiatives, impact assessment along with the capstone project.
