IIM Amritsar Launches New Executive MBA Program for Working Professionals

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar has introduced a new Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme lasting two years. This program aims to provide working professionals with improved leadership skills, strategic insight, and the abilities required to successfully manage dynamic and unpredictable environments.

As stated by the Institute, the EMBA programme at IIM Amritsar integrates the adaptability of a blended-learning approach with a curriculum that promotes data-informed decision-making, strong analytical skills, and the ability to navigate organizational and digital change. It specifically highlights the importance of mastering global uncertainties by means of innovation, efficient communication, and conflict resolution, allowing learners to implement these essential insights across various industries and enhance their professional identities, the statement noted.

The worldwide executive education sector, worth USD 42.5 billion in 2023, is estimated to expand at a CAGR of 12.7 percent, attaining USD 98.6 billion by 2030. This increase is propelled by swift technological advancements, globalization, and changing leadership requirements, according to a statement from IIM Amritsar.

It emphasized that the Future of Jobs Report 2023 indicates that 23 percent of jobs will change in the next five years, resulting in 69 million new positions. For leaders to succeed, they need to develop competencies such as emotional intelligence, resilience, change management, and technological literacy. An Asia-Pacific CEO survey reveals that 97 percent of CEOs are rethinking their business strategies, with 75 percent prepared to welcome change. This underscores the necessity for upskilling to close skill gaps and promote sustainable growth in response to shifting global requirements.
