IGNOU Extends Application Deadline for ODL and Online Courses to March 31
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended its admission process for open and distance learning and online programmes to March 31, 2025, by which time the students can register for the following session, except for certificate and semester-based programmes.
The earlier, final date was set for March 15. To apply for the ODL and online programmes at IGNOU, one needs a DEB ID, which is a unique lifetime identification number given by the University Grants Commission with a view to ensuring students enrol in institutions that are authorized. This will protect students from enrolling with unauthorized universities.
Once it is created, the DEB ID shall be valid for all future applications. Registration entails visiting the official website and clicking on the registration link.
Candidates should enter their personal and academic information, create a username and password, log in to fill out the form, and upload scanned copies of required documents such as a photo of themselves, their signature, caste certificate (if any), and educational certificates.
The final step is the payment of the registration fee and submission of the application, for which it is good to keep a copy of the application in case it needs to be referenced later. Unlike before, candidates can invoke withdrawal of their applications from the registration portal, but when gone, they can young through that door, and refunds, if any, will be done in accordance with IGNOU policy.
On line application for government scholarships will be available once students have secured admission. To know more about the admission process, eligibility criteria, and course details, one can log on to the official website of IGNOU.
