ICAI and CBSE partner to enhance commerce skills in Students
An agreement was signed between CBSE and ICAI in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on November 21. The goal of this collaboration is to improve students' opportunities for employment and career progression by promoting skill-based courses in the banking, financial services, and insurance sector through the Career Counseling Committee.
ICAI will share its expertise in training modules, study materials, syllabus development, and course content as part of the collaboration. Moreover, ICAI will also take part in workshops and conferences organized by CBSE, along with providing guidance on careers and enhancement activities.
To align education with the ever-evolving labor market, the focus will be on providing both teachers and students with information about the various career paths available in accounting and related fields. As part of the partnership, ICAI and CBSE will work together to organize awareness campaigns for management teams, instructors, and school administrators in all of the country's CBSE-affiliated schools.
The significance of commerce-based skill courses within the BFSI sector and their contribution to improving students' career development will be emphasized by these programs. In order to improve the ability of instructors of commerce-related topics to instruct these specialist courses, CBSE will also plan capacity-building activities.
In order to promote academic success, research, and sharing of knowledge, ICAI has already established partnerships with 85 colleges, universities, and educational institutions through Memorandums of Understanding. As per a statement from ICAI relating to this matter, the aim of these initiatives is to cultivate a skilled workforce ready to meet the needs of the modern economy.
