Dropped Out Students to be Re-Enrolled as per latest Campaign

School education secretary Krishna Kunal directed officials on Saturday to ensure that students who had dropped out of school were re-enrolled as part of the department's Praveshotsav campaign.

At a review meeting chaired by Kunal, it was decided to conduct a 52-point health survey for all students in the state in order to provide them with better medical facilities. Kunal also directed officials to ensure that timetables are followed in schools.

“The department’s officers should work with more sensitivity. Dropout students should be re-connected to education by proper coordination, and no child should be left out of enrolment in school during Praveshotsav. Special attention to improvement in studies must be paid in districts with low exam results, and efforts be made to ensure the use of libraries, and completion of the syllabus on time as per the prescribed timetable,” said Kunal.

According to Ashish Modi, the director of secondary education, Rajasthan is the country's leader in the Digital Praveshotsav initiative. He stated that a health-related survey of the students would be conducted based on 52 points.

Kunal also directed education department officials to focus on competency-based education, make the best use of smart classes, ensure timely distribution of scholarships and free textbooks, distribute bicycles at the start of each session, and plant as many trees as possible during the monsoon.

Avichal Chaturvedi, the state project director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, directed officials to monitor the campaign's programmes, anganwadi and bal vatika operations, and the regular presence of mentor teachers in schools, among other tasks.
