CUET-UG Scores Adopted by 202 Higher Ed Institutes: UGC Chief
The Chairman of the University Grants Commission, M Jagadesh Kumar, recently shared that over 202 higher educational institutes have registered to utilize CUET-UG 2024 scores for their undergraduate program admissions, with more institutions expected to join soon. Of these, 46 are Central Universities, 32 are State Universities, 20 are Deemed-to-be-Universities, 98 are Private Universities, and 6 are Government Institutions.
Earlier today, the Chairman spoke about the initiatives the higher education regulator implemented for conducting the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG) 2024. To improve the overall testing experience for candidates appearing in CUET UG 2024, the difficulty level of the entrance exam has been reduced to a moderate level. Further, accessibility has been enhanced, and logistical challenges have been addressed to make the test stress-free for the candidates.
The Chairman also detailed the steps of the National Testing Agency, which is responsible for conducting the CUET, to make the process more convenient and stress-free for the aspirants. The NTA has planned to introduce more test centers, hybrid mode examinations, timely availability of admit cards, and breaks between exams held on the same day.
The CUET-UG is scheduled to occur between May 15 and May 31, 2024, with two dates overlapping with the election dates on May 20 and May 25.
