CBSE Rolls Out Mandate for Affiliated Schools to Disclose Teacher Qualifications
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice to its affiliated schools, emphasizing the need to develop functional websites and ensure the upload of mandatory information and documents. This includes teacher details, such as qualifications, and other prescribed disclosures under the board's "Mandatory Public Disclosure" guidelines.
The notice highlights persistent non-compliance despite repeated instructions. Several schools either lack functional websites or have not uploaded the required information entirely. In some cases, schools have uploaded partial details, or the uploaded links remain inactive. Additionally, some schools have buried the mandatory disclosures, failing to prominently display them on their homepage, making them difficult to access.
The board reiterated, “All affiliated schools must develop their own individual websites and upload details of teachers, including their qualifications, as well as prescribed information and documents as part of Mandatory Public Disclosure.”
CBSE stressed that adherence to these directives is essential for ensuring transparency and accountability. Schools are urged to promptly address these issues to comply with the board's requirements.
