BHU introduces Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Internship to provide professional exposure

The Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Internship program at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is designed to help students get professional experience and improve their employability. There are 100 opportunities available for the one-year internship in five different businesses. A monthly stipend of Rs 20,000 would be given to selected students. Students who meet the requirements may submit an application for the internship at bhu.ac.in.

Under this initiative, students will be enrolled in a master's degree programme in library science, education, physical education, visual arts, performing arts, BEd and MCA. The University will be adding more disciplines to the internship scheme in future.

Students with a degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for the internship. Those who have been awarded gold, silver or bronze medals in national or international events in the proposed five disciplines can also apply.

Candidates will be selected through a discipline-level screening committee. BHU VC will form a university level committee which will interview shortlisted candidates and make recommendations.

Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Internship will allow selected candidates to undergo an internship with the BHU system. The selected candidates will be assigned jobs based on their qualifications and opportunities available at time. The internship scheme is being managed by the Sponsored Research Industrial Consultancy Cell (SRICC) at BHU.
