Announcement of Common Entrance Test for Integrated Teachers Education Programme by NTA

The Supreme Court introduced a new decision stating that teachers with a B.Ed degree can no longer teach in primary schools. Recently, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) launched the Integrated Teachers Education Program (ITEP). The program is created to educate primary teachers according to the guidelines of the National Education Policy 2020.

The ITEP is a course that spans four years. Students who have finished 12th grade will be eligible to apply for admission to this program. ITEP is made up of two main parts: the School Specific Stage and the Individual Discipline.

Students who wish to register for the four-year ITEP program can submit their applications through the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2024. Currently, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is accepting exam applications, and individuals who are interested can sign up on the official website NTA.ac.in by April 30. Modifications to application forms will be permitted from May 2 to May 5. The exam center location information will be available in the second week of May, and the entrance exam is scheduled for June 12.

The NTA will administer the entrance exam for NCET 2024. The test will take place in computer-based format (CBT) in 178 cities throughout the country. The exam paper will be offered in English and a variety of regional languages such as Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
