World University of Design Adds Creative UG, PG Courses
The World University of Design (WUD) has unveiled a range of creative undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the academic year 2025-26. These initiatives seek to reshape professional trajectories by combining design thinking with cutting-edge technological and artistic fields. This strategic growth aims to address the changing demands of the job market and equip students for careers that are future-focused.
Among the key offerings for 2025-26 is the eagerly awaited B.Tech in Computer Science & Design. This innovative program addresses the increasing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on conventional computer science degrees. The program not only provides students with coding skills but also incorporates human-centered design methods, guaranteeing that graduates possess the ability to develop smart, user-oriented solutions that address the demands of a swiftly evolving digital environment.
“Given the ongoing influence of AI in transforming the tech landscape, this program will equip students to merge technical skills with creativity, forging new, inventive avenues in the realm of computer science,” stated Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Vice-Chancellor of WUD.
World University of Design is reshaping the field of performing arts education by launching the Bachelor and Master of Performing Arts in Theatre. In contrast to traditional theatre courses, these programs extend beyond just performance abilities to develop comprehensive theatre professionals. The program includes guidance, stagecraft, and modern storytelling methods, guaranteeing that students finish with a thorough grasp of the art in today’s constantly changing cultural and technological landscape.
To enhance its business education programs, WUD has added Entrepreneurship and Data Analytics as new specializations within its BBA and MBA degrees. These new fields of study will equip the upcoming generation of business leaders with the abilities to develop scalable businesses and make informed strategic choices based on data. By incorporating these enhancements, WUD guarantees that students are properly prepared to tackle the difficulties of the current business environment.
To qualify for these innovative programs, a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12 is required. For specialized courses such as the B.Tech in Computer Science & Design, IIT-JEE scores are favored, whereas applicants for the B.Des in Game Design & Development must provide scores from UCEED, NID, or NIFT. In the interview, candidates can display their creative projects, including portfolios, illustrations, and photos.
Situated in Sonipat, Haryana, WUD consistently establishes standards in education by merging academic achievement with extracurricular involvement and practical learning opportunities.
