SCU Introduces Access25 to Improve International Education Accessibility
To enhance the educational association between Australia and India, Southern Cross University has introduced the Access25 initiative. This initiative will improve the accessibility of international education for Indian students in 2025.
The university plans that the students to receive optimal value for their investment in higher education while also obtaining a high-quality education. In order to accomplish this, the university has established the tuition costs for international students at $25,000 annually.
At present, a group from Southern Cross University in India is directed by Prof Mary Spongberg, Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor. In India, the team will engage with their research and academic counterparts and collaborate with colleagues from Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, and IIBT Bombay on partnerships and sustainability. To further explore the healthcare collaboration, Professor Christina Aggar will visit the Asha Community Health and Development Society, where she and Professor Jon Wardle will lead discussions on promoting sustainability partnerships.
Prof Mary stated, “Southern Cross University has always had a strong presence in the Indian market, and we wish to maintain and expand that presence, through collaborations in research and with industry and community. Any vision we have for our presence in the Indian market must be underpinned by genuine partnership, impactful research collaboration, co-designed projects, and curricula, and shared experiences with students. I believe that working together, forming international teams, and sharing postgraduate students, builds trust, friendships, and cooperation.”
