IIM Shillong Expands Academic Presence with Five New International MoUs
In a major step towards global scholarly development, IIM Shillong has executed five new foreign Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with globally recognized European, African, and North American academic centers. The move consolidates IIM Shillong's international profile even more and gives new ways of interacting on a global stage.
The institutions that participate in these partnerships are POLIMI Graduate School of Management, Italy, IE Business School, Spain, Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau - University of Applied Sciences, Germany, University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and Laurentian Kiti Roy University, Canada (the latest affiliation). These MoUs lay the foundation for a myriad of joint endeavors, ranging from student and teacher exchange programs and collaborative research projects to developing immersion and dual-degree programs. These collaborations will offer students and scholars unparalleled international learning opportunities, equipping them with divergent viewpoints and cross-cultural knowledge critical to a successful professional career in today's globalized world.
This step is a testament to the institute's continued legacy of academic excellence and innovation, making the institution a center for top-class research and education. By diversifying its international partnerships, IIM Shillong is not just enriching the learning experience for its students and scholars but also strengthening its vision of forging a strong global academic community.
In keeping with its vision, IIM Shillong's Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research and Analysis also organized a five-day Management Development Program (MDP) in December last year for mid-level government officers from Arunachal Pradesh, further broadening the reach of the institute within India and overseas.
