British Psychological Society: Apply Now for 2025 Study Visit Scheme

The British Psychological Society has announced that the Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme is now open for applications. This scheme provides funding to postgraduate students in psychology who are based at UK universities to fund overseas, research-based study visits to Europe, the UK, and any other country. The Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme 2025 will be only open to members of the British Psychological Society who are currently enrolled in doctoral degrees in psychology (e.g., DClinPsy or PhD) at a university in the UK.

Under the Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme, members can apply for a maximum of six weeks of funding and the amounts available are up to £500 for a visit to an institution in the UK, £800 for a visit to an institution in Europe, and £1,200 for a visit to an institution in any other country.

Eligibility Criteria, Other Details

The following are the eligibility criteria for the Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme 2025:

  • The candidates should be a minimum of a Graduate member of the society.
  • They need to be registered at any UK institute for a doctoral degree in psychology.
  • Those on Master's Courses are not eligible for this scheme.

How to Apply:

Along with the application form, applicants must submit a supporting statement from the doctoral supervisor, an up-to-date CV, and a supporting statement from the host institution, if applicable.

"As the grant holder, you will be fully responsible for the use of the funds and for making the practical arrangements for the visit. As part of the conditions of the award, you should let us know the exact date of the visit once you have finalised all arrangements," says the BPS statement.
