Diseases like dental caries, periodontal problems, poor oral hygiene and oral cancer have always been a threat. Efforts put in by several organizations like World Health Organization (WHO), Indian Dental Association (IDA) and Dental Council of India (DCI) to level up the oral health maintenance and dentistry practice resulted in the emergence of independent dental industry from general healthcare. At present, people are becoming health conscious, also giving importance to healthy teeth. Demands for dental cosmetics have increased over time. Intervening into the oral health and hygiene medical practice, numerous educational platforms have included dental courses. Dental education in India started in 1920 when Dr. Rafiuddin Ahmed (dentist) incepted the first dental college in Kolkata (then Calcutta). I.T.S-CDSR is indigenously promising patient-friendly college running in conjunction with novel protocols to bring in a more refined patient delivery system and to amalgamate research into clinical practice therefore fore-visioned to strategically enhance upon curriculum innovation and talent development of students and faculty.
ITS Dental College was established in 2000 by Dr. R.P. Chadha (Hon'ble Chairman, I.T.S-The Education Group) with the vision  'Education for all'. Operating with four campuses, the college is located on Delhi-Meerut Road, Murad Nagar Ghaziabad. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses (PhD, MDS, MPT, M. Pharma, M. Tech, MBA, MCA, PGDM, BDS, BPT, B. Pharma, D. Pharma, BBA, BCA, B.Tech) in dental, allied health sciences, management and engineering. "It is important to amplify the intellect of the students along with imparting technical skills as dentistry as a profession demands both. We educate students to serve the patients and communities over their lifetime in practice. The society is witnessing a rapid transformation in contemporary times. Population is expanding; technological strides to instantaneous web access and innovative socio-economic reforms are taking place. For this reason, we have collaborated with various institutes of national and international higher education industry and local bodies for furthering oral healthcare and research," says Arpit Chadha

Under his able guidance, the institute has reached to magnitude of newer heights and has shown tremendous growth through time and resources offered. Comprehensive developmental program assists students in implementing informed educational and occupational choices. The students get hands-on training on dental practices due to the robust OPD of the college and are given national and international conference exposure. Lectures on 'Clinical Practice/Career building' by alumni of the college on clinical experiences is a part of the learning process that develops sense of industry culture. Talent development of students through emerging trends in the field of dentistry takes place in 'Artificial Simulation Centre'. The college also has a dedicated Advanced Research Centre, CADCAM Dental Lab, Facial Esthetic Clinic, Orafacial Pain Clinic and many more for training students in all fields of dentistry.
A fully air-conditioned library with an ambient environment for study is another factor supporting students' educational needs. The library has nearly 450 E-journals and average 70 specialty Journal titles through EBSCO portal. Comfortable and homely atmosphere, state-of-the-art mess facilities, centralized smart washing areas, and integrated sports complex with gym and yoga facilities are provided to the students.
Higher education system at present is facing a great variety of challenges due to the fast changing world. A need for individuals in interdisciplinary fields is required and thus research and exploration to figure out useful and effective teaching and learning methods have become everyday task. A keen drive for continuous improvement follows quality initiative, quality sustenance and quality enhancement. The working of the institution revolves on patient management software 'ORION' which manages a daily OPD, maintains Electronic Medical Records, Laboratory Records, Billing, Inventory and Management Information System. It enables a completely digitized hospital which renders patient management in an organized manner. Under the table supervision of Vice Chairman, Arpit Chadha the college utilizes modern teaching methods, technically advanced infrastructure, and dynamism of its leaders. Its focus is to gradually bridge the gap between health resources being available to urban and rural sectors and also to bring research, clinical practice, and discipline-based specific learning to integrated learning.
Teaming up with corporate dental chains and various healthcare industries such as Clove dental, Concentrix and Innodata, ITS Dental College fosters employment opportunities to the students. In collaboration with Tufts University, School of Medicine, Boston, USA, the dental college grants students exchange program. A few key skill development programs at ITS Dental College include Implantology Program offered in association with Bioner Implants, University of Murcia, Spain, and CWM Implant Program delivered by University of Pusan, Busan, Korea. The national collaborations comprise of National Institute of Cancer Prevention & Research, National Institute of Pathology, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Dharamshila Narayana Super speciality Hospital, which helps in enhancing academic knowledge and clinical skills of the students.
Cultural and sport events (Occlusion and Euphoria), hostel day, PG day, Fresher's party are some of the activities conducted at ITS Dental College for diverse growth of the students. The institute is involved in social/community development activities and has received various awards like Bharat Excellence Award, Glory of India Award, International Gold Star Award, Rashtriya Ratan award, Rashtriya Shiksha Shiromani Award.
