Founded by business leaders in Seattle who wanted their employees to be able to get an education without quitting their job, City University of Seattle was established. CityU of Seattle is a leading institution that continues to contribute towards the enhancement of the quality of Business and Data Analytics, and Data Science Programs in the USA by developing close relationships and collaborating with businesses and industry (considering Seattle is a hub of leading companies in the world).
Right from supporting and encouraging faculty and students to actively engaging in research and publication projects to enhance the reputation of the program and gradually attract a large group of high-quality academics, the key objective of this effort has been to gain an accurate and timely understanding of the latest trends and technologies in relevant fields, which in turn has helped significantly with the cutting-edge design and continuous improvement of CityU's curriculum.
CityU recognizes that in the absence of soft skills, technical capabilities may not help to deliver ideal outcomes, hence, the University is fostering hands-on learning by offering internships as well as live capstone and industry-sponsored projects. Additionally, the courses are designed to cultivate students' knowledge and skills related to teamwork, communication, analytical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving. This practice transforms students into well-rounded professionals who could truly add great value to their organizations. CityU's students actively participate with multinational companies in their projects that center on analytics, strategy, and project management of related large-scale analytics-driven transformation efforts. All of its courses employ a contemporary learning management system through which students may access all course materials, communicate with faculty and students, submit assignments, and receive their grades and assessments. For the years to come, City University of Seattle plans to include the addition of virtual and augmented reality modules into the curriculum as well as create the ability for students to gain micro-credentials / badges along the way to earning the degree. ACBSP accreditation of the BSBDA program will provide it with the additional quality and delivery rigor that is required by our accreditors.
"To add to it, our projects will include creating cutting-edge modalities to better facilitate experiential learning and serve students with a variety of learning needs/preferences. We are also planning to produce high-quality instructional media including interactive video lectures, podcasts, and activities in parallel with granting timely access to tutors and other resources to assist students", says Dr. Sumantra Sengupta, Dean, School of Business and Management.
