Taking a Unique Approach

Sri Venkateswara Engineering College follows Outcome Based Education (OBE) process combined with human values and ethics, focusing on soft-skills development so that students, when they pass out of the college are better equipped to fulfil all their expectations. Chandrashekhar who holds an MS degree in Computer Engineering from the US explains, "œThere is definitely a requirement for engineers but you can't keep on harping on the old method of teaching because today technology is changing very rapidly. The shelf life of these technologies is very short. We have to stay abreast of what the industry expects as the students are going to become the workforce for the factories, companies, software or hardware industry and have to produce quality products using those new technologies. Whether it is AI or ML, or big data, in addition to the regular curriculum which is mandated as per the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, we conduct guest lectures, seminars, workshops on emerging technologies. We are not a commercial organization, we are a service-oriented institution. Our vision is to empower and enable students to gain a competitive spirit and the right aptitude to compete successfully and occupy better positions in society and thereby contribute to nation-building".

"œThe institute envisions empowering and enabling students to gain a competitive spirit and the right aptitude to compete successfully and occupy better positions in society and thereby contribute to nation-building"

Supported equally by excellent infrastructures (an international alike infrastructure at a remote location) the Exhibition Society funds and looks after the financial requirements of Sri Venkateswara Engineering College. "œWe have been conducting online classes throughout the past three or four months during the lockdown period. We have conducted training programs for would-be engineers to bridge the industry gaps by bringing external specialists and forging lots of partnerships with companies, organizations, and universities. We ensure skill-transfer and knowledge-sharing and give our teachers as well as the studentsextra industrial interaction to develop themselves. Constant interactions and exposure open new gateways to skill development amongst students", shares Chandrashekhar.
