Among the handful of B-Schools in the country, Prestige Institute of Management (PIMG) is inevitably the one that has precisely stood upon the industry's expectations with the modern managers and leaders. A NAAC accredited 'A' Grade Institute and approved under section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956, PIMG given its excellence in the field of management education, has been recently granted autonomous status from UGC. Being affiliated to Jiwaji University, Gwalior, the institute also has the approval of All India Council for Technical Education & the State Government.

Information Technology education and training for professionals. "Existing for more than two decades in the management education arena now, PIMG from the very beginning has been instrumental in carving
fruitful career routes for its graduates. From starting with only 200 students to presently housing around 2300 students, the growth journey of PIMG has been incredible," says Dr. S. S. Bhakar, Director, PIMG. Over the years, PIMG has emerged as a highly recommended institute in Central India among the students who aspire to pursue their studies in the management field. However, PIMG considers itself as a training institution instead of being called as a general educational institution, as the students studying in PIMG are ensured for robust training with utmost practical exposure throughout the year. "The core idea is to develop the students into industry-ready candidates. We make sure that each of our students is well-groomed and also are versed with the management concepts," shares Dr.Bhakar. Along with offering an application-based Prestige Institute of Management: COMBINING RESEARCH, INNOVATION AND PRACTICE- ORIENTED EDUCATION MBA and MBA-Integrated programme, the institute also conducts BBA, BCA, B.Com (Economics /Computer Application), B.Com (Hons), BTM, BBA LLB(Hons.), B.Com LLB(Hons.), BA LLB(Hons.) and B.Sc(CS) (Hons.) programmes. Giving research a prominent place in its teaching-learning process and being an approved research center of the university, PIMG, in addition, runs a Ph.D. programme where around 70 students are currently enrolled. Dr.Bhakar adds, "PIMG is located in a spacious and aesthetic campus which encompasses state-of-the-art facilities such as hostel accommodations, computer lab, library and many more. The campus has been designed keeping in mind the varied requirements of the 21st-century learners."

PIMG takes pride in its panel of eminent and highly experienced faculty members who constitute the backbone of the institute. Each of the faculty members is renowned for their exceptional teaching skills and contribution to management education through the creation of new knowledge. Indulging deeply in research activities, the faculty members of PIMG possess a rich count of published papers and awards in their credit. "Targeting to enhance the knowledge base of the faculty members, we annually organize numerous programs including four national seminars in different streams, an international
conference, case writing workshop- that is organized in the month of April and another workshop in the month of August," pinpoints Dr.Bhakar. In these events arranged by PIMG, the count of participants becomes so high, that the institute has to close the registration process a month before the closing date. Dr. Bhakar adds, "During our research methodology workshops, we prepare research papers which are published in the form of a book later on. The sound research acumen of the faculty members undeniably assists in enhancing the learning experience of the students as well." Besides stressing on value-based management education, the faculty members of PIMG believes in encouraging the students to embrace innovation and practical application of the concept learned. On the other hand, the institute boasts on possessing meaningful tie-ups with the industry giants which explicitly helps in bringing in better placement prospects, staying updated with the latest trends in management and so on. The institute in co-operation with the industry professionals includes subjects that are in high demand going beyond the curriculum.

"We have a dedicated Entrepreneurship Development Cell placed in our campus as well, which was started in 2008. The cell looks after organizing a number of awareness and funding activities in parallel to guiding the students thoroughly. Assuring the students' access to funding and refinement of their respective projects, we have tied up with some agencies," says Dr.Bhakar. He has conducted more than 60 research methodology workshops, 25 case writing workshops, 35+ executive training programs and has been conference chairman for 9 International conferences and 15 national conferences and seminars.
