“Today technology is playing a vital role across businesses, automating a lot of processes. People need to be agile in learning new technologies and skills to thrive in their careers. With so many changes continuously happening, employers are looking for people who are receptive to change and able to adapt quickly. Continuous learning is a core mantra we instil in students. The USP of ISB&M is our comprehensive and holistic view of what needs to be taught and our top-notch training, coaching, and mentoring of students, hand-holding them through these processes,” shares Dr. Subramaniam Jayaraman, Director.
The institute also organizes a week-long orientation program at the beginning for which it invites industry experts to speak with new students and provide them insight into the business landscape.
Student-Driven Institute
One of the most unique features of ISB&M is the kind and amount of trust and responsibility that the school places in students. Dedicated to developing top behavioural skills in students that leading companies across the globe look for, including leadership skills, communication skills, strategic thinking, and critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, the institute conducts several activities which are completely organized, hosted, and implemented by student bodies.
Housing over 20 different student cells including placement cell, corporate relation cell, lifestyle development cell, competition cell, alumni cell, and more, the institution transfers the responsibility of organizing events to them.
For instance, various conferences like finance conference, marketing conference, HR conference, events including quizzes, are all organized by student bodies from conceptualization to ironing out details, setting budgets, getting approvals, and final execution. Throughout this process, faculty members play a guiding role of approving budgets and supervising certain aspects.
