"The knowledge gained by the students in the classroom is application oriented. ITM has created an ecosystem for innovation & learning by adopting different teaching pedagogy like business simulations, live projects, hackathons and learning through digital, trading and retail labs. In these activities, students get insight into business operations and they learn problem-solving techniques for real business. Faculties are encouraged to involve students for research, projects, creativity, and integrated learning. Incepted in 1991, by our visionary Chairman Dr. P.V. Ramana, ITM is one of the most respected institutions in the country. Further, the Institute also conducts Management Development Programmes (MDPs) for industry executives, middle and top management as per the current management & technological trends and needs. One of such MDP was organized for SBI Mutual Fund, the topic 'SBI-Mutual Fund management program, wherein the entire syllabus of such MDP was designed and developed by faculty members after having an interaction with industry.

The Business Institute has also achieved various recognitions, awards and status such as NBA Accreditation, AIU Accreditation, Times Education ICONS Award 2018, Best B-school award 2018, CSR Awards 2016 to name a few.
ITM offers 10 specializations and each one is unique in its offering. This year we have added tech-based programs like Business Analytics, Fintech, and Digital Marketing and Transformation. Business Choupal is a Marketing simulation carried out on campus that provides experiential learning of sales and marketing. Realizing the importance of digital marketing, the students were put through online experience through business choupal. Dr Lakshmi Mohan, Director of ITM Business School, Navi Mumbai is a professional with two decades of academic and half a decade of corporate exposure. She has worked with ICFAI, Times, Elbee Logistics and DHM. Dr Lakshmi is a recipient of the "Apeejay Karmaveer Chakra" in 2014 for inspiring youth to contribute towards society. She was an awardee for 'Woman Achiever' from NSA and Dr Lakshmi Mohan, Director Higher Education Forum bestowed on her the `Best Emerging Director' Award in 2015. In 2017, Fine Arts Society bestowed FAS Stree Ratna Award which was presented by Dr Rajashree Birla to Dr Lakshmi in recognition of her illustrious contribution and achievement in the field of Education and on 8th March, 2018 on the occasion of National Women's Day Awards, National Foundation For Entrepreneurship Development (NFED) conferred the 'Outstanding Woman Professional Award' to Dr Lakshmi Mohan.
