HITS' active academic collaborations with over 78 International Organizations provides opportunities for faculty as well as students to participate in International Exchange Programmes, Study Abroad and Summer Programmes, Internships, Joint Research Projects and Conferences, Workshops and Seminars. "Hundreds of students from the campus have visited many of our partner institutions and pursued short-term, semester abroad, global exchange programs. Many of our faculty members are pursuing research in our partner institutions across the globe," says Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese.
The curriculum of HITS is updated based on the requirements and demands of the stakeholders. There is a regular feedback mechanism and process for curriculum revision adopted by the institute and the IQAC focuses on implementation of Out-come Based Education (OBE) practices, and ensures to structure academic programmes to foster employability and impart holistic education.
Adding to its qualities, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science has a library with more than 1,05,832 books with 42,262 online journals, 4,606 back volumes, 3,221 project reports and many more. Its Digital Library comprises iMac, iPad and Kindle with Internet Connectivity and also Wi-Fi for the students to access the Online Electronic Information Resources.
Hindustan Institute is also well-recognized for its Simulator Training with ALSIM which began in 2010 with the purchase of India's first ALSIM Simulator - the ALSIM AL50. ALSIM, based in France, is now one of the leading Flight Simulator manufacturers in the World. ALSIM's constant process of evolving their products over the years has enabled them to offer customers with advanced aviation training devices. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering, HITS provides an out-standing flying training for around 1200 Aeronautical students. This would give the trainee the threshold knowledge required to begin flying training.

He formally took over the reins of Hindustan Group of Institutions after the demise of his father, Late Dr. KCG Verghese in 2006. It was during his management that the Hindustan College of Engineering was granted deemed university status by the Government of India in 2008. He has several awards and accolades to his credit and few of them are; the IET Ratna Award, the highest award from IET, Chennai local network, for his commendable contributions in the field of Engineering Education, Edupreneur of the Year 2019 Award from Centre of Education Growth and Research (CEGR), Spice Award for Best School for Overall development during the 3rd National Convention on education of Auuro Educational Services, from His Excellency The Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr. K.
