"Our aim is to be one of the leading institutes in technical education, and research through our academic excellence and innovation. We also want to serve the needs of the industry and society by nurturing inspired learners through continuous training programs, industry interaction, entrepreneurial development, and incubation. We started our operations with the textile programmes and over the years, we have kept on adding new programs to our course portfolio. Now, we have five programs in textile engineering, and seven programs in other fields of engineering such as civil, mechanical, computer science, electronics and tele communications to name a few. We have also started computer science in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Currently, we have 13 UG programs, five PG programs and a management program as well", says, P. V. Apart from our regular infrastructure, we have our own well-established industry supported laboratories with top-notch infrastructure and this includes companies from both India and abroad. Our students can indulge in various research projects of any scale in these laboratories. We also have a center of excellence which is supported by the Ministry of Textiles and it is a project worth 25 crore. We are aiming for the holistic development of our students and we conduct a lot of extra-curricular activities in the institute. Our students have also been very socially responsible and have been active in working for the community during the pandemic and floods. Our students and faculty have come up with various face masks and this has been a great service to the society.
