Management education in India is undergoing a transformative shift, evolving beyond traditional paradigms to embrace a more holistic approach. The focus is now on cultivating skills such as innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving, alongside an emphasis on all-round development and the integration of technology into the curriculum.
In light of this, AIMER B School distinguishes itself as a pioneer in tackling the enduring disparity. The institution endeavours to narrow the gap between academic learning and industry needs. Acknowledging the difference between the competencies taught in traditional educational settings and those required in professional settings, AIMER B School has confidently embarked on reshaping management education.
Experiential Learning for Industry Readiness
One of the key challenges for higher education institutes is preparing students for the industry. AIMER B School tackles this issue by adopting a distinctive program structure. The students undergo a rigorous six-month academic phase, followed by a six-month internship or entrepreneurial venture. This cycle repeats for the subsequent semesters, ensuring that half of the program is dedicated to practical exposure.
The internship and entrepreneurial experiences are carefully curated, providing students with hands-on training and exposure to real-world scenarios. Speaking more on this, the Founder and CEO of AIMER B School – Muhammed Mon says, “Expert mentors guide our students through their projects, offering invaluable insights and support. This experiential learning approach not only enhances employability but also nurtures a spirit of entrepreneurship among the students.
Furthermore, the uniqueness of our institution is that we collaborate with the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) comprising experts from various sectors to form the curriculum.
