Like an engineering or a general science student, many BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) students look for higher education options not related to dentistry as there are fewer career options after completing BDS.

  • Master of Science in Oral Biology –This course can be pursued by MBBS, BDS, BPT, B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Biotechnology, B.Sc. Zoology, BHMS, BSMS, BAMS, BUMS, and B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences students. In general, the course is research-based with a duration is three years. The curriculum has didactic courses, where students are guided by professionals to perform actual research, prepare and complete the thesis. However, M.Sc. in Oral Biology is not counted as a clinical program and students are not eligible for a license of practice.
