Vietnam and Intel Team Up to Make AI Education Accessible to all
The Vietnamese National Innovation Centre (NIC) and Intel Corporation recently launched AI for All, a national program to provide artificial intelligence (AI) knowledge to all Vietnamese citizens.
The program is purposed to increase public understanding of the increasing impact of artificial intelligence (AI) while providing people with basic digital skills needed to succeed in the modern workforce. The program also responds to Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo, which places breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the top priority. The program also aligns with Vietnam's 'Digital Literacy for All' movement launched on March 26.
Developed by Intel, "AI for All" is an online, self-paced learning platform for users across the board—students, office employees, parents, and senior citizens. As AI revolutionizes sectors and everyday life, the program enables all of them to learn to cope with technological change and benefit from new possibilities in the digital era.
The course gives AI basics, real-world applications, and myths along with studying AI ethics, appropriate usage, and its implications on various industries. The four-hour course participants who complete the course successfully will receive an e-certificate that will serve as a stepping stone to pursue further AI studies and career development. The program is offered in both Vietnamese and English languages so that it reaches the maximum number of people.
Speaking at the launch event, Sarah Kemp, Vice President of International Government Affairs with Intel Global, highlighted the need for this project to get Vietnam ready for an AI future. She observed that "AI for All" not only enables people with basic skills for an evolving job market but also enables a culture of innovation and continuous learning—equipping the country to build its digital economy.
Through this program, Vietnam continues to push its digital transformation agenda to prepare its citizens for the opportunities and challenges of the age of artificial intelligence.
