UP Govt Likely To Spend Rs 750 Crore On Education In Three Months

In an effort to make education available to everyone, the government of Uttar Pradesh plans to set aside about Rs 750 crore for basic, secondary, and higher education in the state. According to a formal announcement, the government has also created an action plan to assist this endeavour. "These funds will be used by each of these three departments for both new and ongoing programmes. Many of these activities are supported by the Center, and money will be used for them after the state government has given its approval and the Central Government releases the budget instalment, according to the statement.

The allotment of a budget of Rs 121 crore for various initiatives has been planned out by the Basic Education Department. The Higher Education Department has also suggested an action plan that will cost more than Rs 20 crore. The statement noted that the Secondary Education Department has financial projections that exceed Rs 600 crore.

The Secondary Education Department would receive a budget of Rs 390 crore under the centrally supported PM School for Rising India PM SHRI plan. Through a sanctioned action plan, the Ministry of School Education and Literacy shall supervise the distribution of funds and their use. Additionally, a budget of Rs 5 crore has been set up to cover the second daughter of parents who pay for their own education's tuition. Based on data supplied by the districts after the government approved the money, the department planned to allocate Rs 1.39 crore for April, the statement said.

A budget of Rs 20.1 crore has been allotted by the Higher Education Department to support various initiatives over the ensuing three months. According to the statement, out of this, Rs 10 crore will be used for the Chief Minister's Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, Rs 5 crore for the creation of a digital library at the ward level, and Rs 1 crore for the Skill Hub program, which provides education geared towards employment opportunities.
