Strategic Collaboration: IIT Hyderabad and Monash University Sign MoU

IIT Hyderabad and Monash University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration in academia and research. The signing took place in the presence of Honourable Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, India, and Jason Dean Clare MP, Minister for Education, Australia during the first Australia India Education and Skill Council meet at IIT Gandhinagar, according to a press release from IIT Hyderabad.

Prof BS Murty, Director of IIT Hyderabad, and Prof Susan Elliott AM, Vice-Chancellor of Monash University, signed the MoU. The signing ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries including K Sanjay Murthy, IAS, Secretary Higher Education, Government of India, and HE Philip Green OAM, the Australian High Commissioner to India, highlighting the importance of the partnership to both countries.

"On this occasion, Prof BS Murty, Director of IIT Hyderabad, emphasized the strong bond between IIT Hyderabad and Australia. He mentioned the Joint Doctoral Program (JDP) with esteemed universities such as Swinburne University of Technology and Deakin University, Melbourne, as a significant part of this connection." I believe that the partnership between IIT Hyderabad and Monash University will greatly enhance scientific collaboration between India and Australia, contributing to the growth of both countries. This collaboration will also support India's efforts towards self-reliance.
