SSLC, HSE and VHSE exams to be conducted from March 17
As per the COVID-19 protocol in the state, SSLC, HSE and VHSE examinations will be performed from March 17. The decision to conduct the exams was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The education department will carry out the arrangements for 10th and 12th public examinations soon. Classes for students who have practical exams as part of the public exams will commence from January 1.
Arrangements will be done in schools from January 1 for revision and doubt clearance of online classes. Model exams and counselling for students to avoid stress will be conducted at the schools. For this purpose, class 10, 12 students are allowed to go to schools with the permission of parents. Arrangements for this will be completed with the help of teachers available on duty.
Classes for all students including SSLC and Higher Secondary were being held online from June 1 onwards due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Amid the growing concerns of the pandemic outbreak, the classes will continue online as per the schedule.
The decision on the reopening of colleges was also taken at the meeting. Classes for final year degree and postgraduate students will start from January first week. If necessary, classes will be conducted in two shifts in the morning and noon.
Kerala Agriculture University and Fisheries University will resume classes from January first week. The number of students will be limited in the classes as per the COVID-19 protocol. Meanwhile, medical colleges will start classes for students from the second year.
