Rajasthan will fund 25% of EWS students in private schools until Class 12
A group of students from various parts of the state met with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at his residence. The minister stated that education is a priority for the state and discussed the provisions and schemes put in place for Rajasthan's youth. Rajasthan will provide free education in private schools up to Class 12 under the right to education act, with a 25% EWS quota. The state government has provided free competitive examination preparation for 30,000 students through the Anuprati coaching scheme. The Rajasthan Chief Minister also announced the construction of the Nehru youth transit hostel and facilitation centre for students studying for competitive exams in Delhi.
Another provision made for Rajasthan's youth is a three-year scholarship for research scholars, with the scholars receiving Rs 20,000 per month. In addition, a budget of Rs 50 crore has been set aside for the development of various facilities at Rajasthan University. A provision has been made under the Rajiv Gandhi scholarship for academic excellence to allow for the free education of 500 students abroad.
According to the minister, the state government has also implemented public welfare schemes for all segments of society. The government has launched the Udaan scheme at a cost of Rs 500 crore to improve women's health management. This programme provides 12 sanitary napkins free of charge to women and adolescent girls each month. The Rajasthan government will provide free smartphones with three years of free internet data to over 40 lakh women power from Raksha Bandhan this year in order to connect the state's women and girls with IT.
On the occasion, women and child development minister Mamta Bhupesh stated that the state government has made many decisions for the students, such as distributing 30,000 scooties to deserving female students, which has benefited the students. Students in the delegation thanked Rajasthan Chief Minister Gehlot for decisions made in the best interests of youth and students. According to the minister, the youth are the country's future, and the state government is working hard for the youth and students. Education is one of the state government's top priorities. Along with studies, the minister urged the youth to contribute to addressing social concerns.
